São Paulo + Paris

Alexandre's practice extends into sound — mixing field recordings, flute, synths and other sound annotations, both in his solo project and also in Sistemas Complexos, a synthesizer collective built around texture, landscape, and listening.
Over a 10-year career as photographer and creative director, Alexandre has collaborated with leading brands and magazines in the fields of fashion, advertising, and lifestyle.
Artist and photographer, Alexandre lives between São Paulo and Paris, where he develops an artistic practice through photography books, painting, site-specific installations, videos, and sound. Rooted in intimacy and playfulness, his work is drawn by a deep listening to the natural world — moving through bodies, chromatic, sonorous and emotional landscapes.
Alexandre has published nine photography books across four countries: Brazil, France, Spain, and the Netherlands. His most recent photobook, São Paulo, was released in 2021 in Paris as part of the Louis Vuitton Fashion Eye collection.
His latest solo exhibition, Rios que não se veem (Rivers Unseen), took place in 2023 at Nil Gallery in Paris and was featured on ARTSY as one of the top 10 must-see exhibitions of the period.
His work has also been shown in institutional and gallery spaces including Photographie Genève (Switzerland), Off Cairo Biennale 2018 (Egypt), CCSP (São Paulo), Quai la Photo (Paris), Karla Osorio Gallery (Brasília), and A Gentil Carioca (Rio de Janeiro).
